We use the principles of Trager® Mentastic and Bodywork and the landscapes of Soul Motion to connect with our body wisdom.
We will explore the core Soul Motion platforms and connect it with the map and wisdom of the relational landscapes, being with yourself - dance intimate, being with one other person - dance communion, being in contact with everybody in the space - dance community, being connected with with the bigger field - dance infinite.
In the Trager® units we will focus on "Mentastics" the active aspect of this method. Utilizing gentle, non-intrusive, natural movements, the Trager Approach helps to release deep-seated physical and mental patterns and facilitates deep relaxation, increased physical mobility, and mental clarity. These patterns may have developed in response to accidents, illnesses, or any kind of physical or emotional trauma, including the stress of everyday life.
Additionally you will learn the principles of dealing with trauma in bodywork.
The Soul Motion and the Trager approach fit together perfectly, nevertheless the dance units can be booked individually.
Between the workshop units there is enough time to explore Auroville, visit the nearby ashram, soak up the sun, swim, relax or enjoy the first-class treatment offered around Auroville.
The climate is very pleasant at this time of the year. The daytime temperatures are between 24 ° and 30 ° C.

The nearest airport is Chennai. Taxi from Chennai Airport to Auroville is around RPS 2500.- (40 $, 32 €).

Auroville the universal township
Auroville is a universal township in the making for a population of up to 50,000 people from around the world. Auroville is an ideal township devoted to an experiment in human unity.
The purpose of Auroville is to realise human unity – in diversity. Today Auroville is recognised as the first and only internationally endorsed ongoing experiment in human unity and transformation of consciousness, also concerned with - and practically researching into - sustainable living and the future cultural,environmental, social and spiritual needs of mankind.
The concept of Auroville was developed by The Mother and Sri Aurobindo from the 30´s on.
In the early 60´s it was put before the Govt. of India, who gave their backing and took it to the General Assembly of UNESCO. In 1966 UNESCO passed a unanimous resolution commending it as a project of importance to the future of humanity, thereby giving their full encouragement.
On 28th February 1968 some 5,000 people assembled near the banyan tree at the centre of the future township for aninauguration ceremony attended by representatives of 124 nations, including all the States of India. The representatives brought with them some soil from their homeland, to be mixed in a white marble- clad.
Auroville has a rural ambience. It consists of nearly 100 different settlements, spread out over 25 km2 (of which a little over 10 km2 so far is owned by the community). Distances between the outlying settlements can be several kilometres. Within the Auroville area there are several villages, and still a lot of village-owned land.
Auroville is located in south India, 150 kms south of Chennai (Madras) and about 10 kms north of Pondicherry town. The journey from Chennai is about three hours by road. Buses from Chennai are frequent.
The climate in Auroville is tropical. From December to March the day-time temperature range is 24 - 30°C (74 - 85ºF). Nights are about 5°C cooler.
